Concierge living model

Independence with reliable support close at hand

Solara's own model combines flexible, planned support with access to a staffed environment, privacy, community connection and skill development.

The model

Support that steps back as confidence grows

Many people do not need someone beside them all day. What helps is knowing that when a bill arrives, a bus is missed or a plan changes, someone is reachable and knows them. That is the idea behind our concierge living model.

Assistance is agreed in advance, documented and reviewed. As people take on more themselves, support is adjusted so it never quietly becomes a substitute for independence.

Concierge Living is Solara's operating model, not an official NDIS funding category. It does not mean continuous one-to-one support or a universal 24/7 staffing promise.

Clear costs

Home costs and disability support stay separate

Accommodation

25% of the Disability Support Pension plus 100% of applicable Commonwealth Rent Assistance

This is the rent arrangement. The exact current amount is confirmed during enquiry and recorded before move-in.

Optional board

35% of the Disability Support Pension where an agreed board package applies

Board is optional. Depending on the agreed package, it may cover utilities, internet, furnishings and weekly groceries. Inclusions are confirmed before move-in.

NDIS-funded support

Person-specific support under an approved plan

Funding may cover agreed disability support linked to goals and assessed needs. It does not pay rent, board or ordinary living costs.

Final costs, package inclusions and available funding are confirmed during the suitability process and set out in writing before any agreement. No dollar amount is fixed on this page because pension and Rent Assistance rates can change.

What makes it work

Six pillars of the model

Planned assistance

Support is scheduled around the person's week — mornings, meals, appointments, community activities and quieter evenings.

Accessible staff

Staff are reachable when something changes, so people can try things independently knowing help is available.

Skill development

Cooking, cleaning, laundry, budgeting, transport and appointment management practised in everyday routines.

Participant voice

Weekly resident meetings shape activities, meals and house routines. Feedback is invited, recorded and acted on.

Goal tracking

Goals are documented and reviewed monthly with the person, with progress shared with authorised stakeholders.

Predictable environment

Consistent staffing and clear routines reduce uncertainty and make the home easier to settle into.
