About us

Support that starts with the person, not the vacancy

Solara Living Care is a Geelong-based provider of personalised living, community access and youth services. We work with NDIS participants, privately funded clients, families and referrers.

Our approach

A practical, person-first way of working

We begin every relationship with a conversation about goals. What does a good week look like? What feels hard right now? Who else should be involved? From there we design a support arrangement that fits the person's routines, living preferences and funding rather than fitting the person into a fixed program.

Support is delivered by a consistent team who know the person, their communication style and what helps on a difficult day. Goals are documented, reviewed and adjusted with the person, and progress is shared with the people they authorise.

Who we work with

  • NDIS participants living in or moving to the Geelong region
  • Privately funded clients seeking flexible living support
  • Families and guardians exploring options for a family member
  • Support coordinators, plan managers, schools and health services

Our values

Six commitments we hold ourselves to

Choice and control

People decide how their days run, what they work towards and who is involved in their support.

Dignity and privacy

Private spaces stay private. Information is shared only with consent and only when there is a need to know.

Consent-led practice

Assessments, referrals and information sharing happen with the informed consent of the person or their decision maker.

Everyday independence

Cooking, budgeting, transport and community routines are practised in real life, not simulated in a classroom.

Clear agreements

Accommodation costs, support charges and inclusions are set out in writing before anything begins.

Community connection

We build local links in Geelong — clubs, work, study, volunteering and social groups people actually enjoy.

Quality and safeguarding

Feedback is part of how we improve

People we support, families and referrers can raise a compliment, suggestion, concern or complaint at any time — with or without an advocate.
